Definition of a Vacancy. a. A vacancy is defined as the creation of a new position through Board action or a decision of the Board to fill a position which may have resulted from Board/Administrative action concerning transfer, retirement, resignation, termination, non-renewal, etc. b. Administrative reassignments within a building or buildings where there is not a loss or gain in the total number of bargaining unit positions in the building(s) or the recall of eligible suspended unit members pursuant to 6.K (2) (d) will not be defined as vacancies.
