Definition of Bumping Sample Clauses

Definition of Bumping. Bumping means the process by which a Full Time Regular Employee who is subject to displacement or layoff may obtain a position and continued work by replacing, or "bumping", an incumbent Full Time Regular Employee in accordance with the provisions of this Article. An Employee who is thus replaced shall be deemed to be "bumped" from their position.

Definition of Bumping. Bumping shall be defined as the exercising of Seniority Rights to displace an Employee with less Seniority Rights, providing the Employees exercising this right has the skills, abilities and qualifications for the position.
