Department Chairpersons. A. The Administration may select each year from among the school faculty, Department Chairpersons in such teaching areas it may deem appropriate. B. The Department Chairperson shall be responsible for providing leadership in departmental coordination including coordination of programs and materials, proper sequencing of objectives, and promotion and development of effective instructional techniques for department staff members. C. Elementary schools shall be represented by at least four members unless structure is modified by curriculum council or the Board. D. When appropriate, the title K-12 Department Chairperson shall be used.
