DESCRIPTION OF OUR SERVICES AND COVERAGE. 2.1 ADVANCE OF HOSPITAL FEES IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY If you fall ill or are injured during the trip: for as long as you are in hospital, we can advance hospital fees within the limits of the amount covered in the “Additional healthcare cost refund” section, as long as all the following conditions are met: - for care prescribed in agreement with our medical doctors, - as long as our medical doctors consider you cannot be transported after they have collected information from the local medical doctor. No advances will be paid as from the date we are able to transport you. In all cases, you undertake to refund this advance payment at the latest 30 days after receipt of our invoice. To be refunded yourself, you must follow the necessary procedure to recover your medical costs from the relevant organisations. This duty is applicable even if you have undertaken the above refund procedures. This service will only be available if you returned the “acknowledgement of due amounts” form that we will have sent you previously. This form must be accompanied, either by proof of your healthcare cover (copy of your healthcare insurance card or insurance certificate), or by a bank guarantee. In all cases, the amount covered by healthcare insurance must be at least equal to the maximum amount of the advance. Under the terms of the acknowledgement of due amounts form, you undertake to refund us the advanced amounts.

  • CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITY PROVISIONS For the purpose of these provisions, the term contractor is defined as any person, including, but not limited to, a bidder, offeror, loan recipient, grantee or lessor, who has furnished or performed or seeks to furnish or perform, goods, supplies, services, leased space, construction or other activity, under a contract, grant, lease, purchase order or reimbursement agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (Commonwealth). The term contractor includes a permittee, licensee, or any agency, political subdivision, instrumentality, public authority, or other public entity in the Commonwealth.

  • PRIME CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITY The contractor will be required to assume prime contractor responsibility for the contract and will be the sole point of contact with regard to all commodities, services and support. The prime contractor may delegate facilitation of contract orders to their “Authorized/Certified Dealers” only.   • Scope and Coverage 1. This Chapter applies to measures adopted or maintained by a Party affecting trade in services by service suppliers of the other Party. Such measures include measures affecting: (i) the purchase or use of, or payment for, a service; (ii) the access to and use of, in connection with the supply of a service, services which are required by the Parties to be offered to the public generally; or (iii) the presence, including commercial presence, of persons of a Party for the supply of a service in the territory of the other Party. 2. For purposes of this Chapter, measures adopted or maintained by a Party means measures adopted or maintained by: (i) central, regional or local governments and authorities; and (ii) non-governmental bodies in the exercise of powers delegated by central, regional or local governments or authorities. 3. This Chapter does not apply to: (a) government procurement; (b) air services (4) , including domestic and international air transportation services, whether scheduled or non-scheduled, and related services in support of air services, other than: (i) aircraft repair and maintenance services; (ii) the selling and marketing of air transport services; and (iii) computer reservation system (CRS) services; and (c) subsidies or grants provided by a Party, including government-supported loans, guarantees, and insurance. 4. This Chapter does not impose any obligation on a Party with respect to a natural person of the other Party seeking access to its employment market, or employed on a permanent basis in its territory, and does not confer any right on that natural person with respect to that access or employment. 5. This Chapter does not apply to services supplied in the exercise of governmental authority in a Party's territory. A service supplied in the exercise of governmental authority means any service which is supplied neither on a commercial basis, nor in competition with one or more service suppliers. 6. Nothing in this Chapter shall prevent a Party from applying measures to regulate the entry of natural persons of the other Party into, or their temporary stay in, its territory, including those measures necessary to protect the integrity of, and to ensure the orderly movement of natural persons across its borders, provided that such measures are not applied in such a manner as to nullify or impair the benefits accruing to the other Party under the terms of this Chapter. (5) 7. This Chapter, except for the list of financial services specific commitments in the Schedules of Specific Commitments under this Agreement, does not apply to measures affecting the supply of financial services (6) as defined in subparagraph 5(a) of the GATS Annex on Financial Services. The obligations of each Party with respect to measures affecting the supply of financial services shall be in accordance with its obligations under GATS, the GATS Annex on Financial Services and the GATS Second Annex on Financial Services, and subject to any reservations thereto. The said obligations are hereby incorporated into this Agreement, and the schedule of financial services specific commitments of Annex 6 (Schedules of Specific Commitments) of this Agreement shall apply. 8. In addition to the provisions of this Chapter, the rights and obligations of the Parties in respect of telecommunication services shall also be governed by the provisions of: (a) the GATS Annex on Telecommunications; and

  • Contractor Responsibility (a) The Contractor shall be responsible for the entire Performance under the Contract regardless of whether the Contractor itself performs. The Contractor shall be the sole point of contact concerning the management of the Contract, including Performance and payment issues. The Contractor is solely and completely responsible for adherence by the Contractor Parties to all applicable provisions of the Contract.

  • Allocation and use of scarce resources Any procedures for the allocation and use of scarce resources, including frequencies, numbers and rights of way, will be carried out in an objective, timely, transparent and non-discriminatory manner. The current state of allocated frequency bands will be made publicly available, but detailed identification of frequencies allocated for specific government uses is not required.

  • Continuity of Coverage When a new employee to the district was previously employed by a SEBB employer and was eligible for SEBB coverage, that employee will have uninterrupted benefit coverage if they are anticipated to work 630 hours or more in the school year. If an employee was not anticipated to work 630 hours in a school year but meets that eligibility criteria during the school year, the employee will become eligible for SEBB benefits and will begin coverage in the month following this establishment of eligibility.

  • RECOGNITION AND COVERAGE 1. The Company recognizes the Union as the exclusive representative of a bargaining unit made up of production, maintenance, office, technical, clerical and railroad employees of the Company, excluding only managers, confidential employees, supervisors and guards as defined under the National Labor Relations Act. Individuals in the bargaining unit shall be known as “Employees.” Individuals who are employed by the Company and are not in the bargaining unit shall be known as “non-bargaining unit employees.” Individuals who are in the bargaining unit and those who are not in the bargaining unit shall be known collectively as “employees.”

  • Texas Education Code Chapter 22 Contractor Certification for Contractor Employees Introduction Texas Education Code Chapter 22 requires entities that contract with school districts to provide service s to obtain criminal history record information regarding covered employees. Contractors must certify to the district t hat they have complied. Covered employees with disqualifying criminal histories are prohibited from serving at a sch ool district. Definitions: Covered employees: Employees of a contractor or subcontractor who have or will have continuing dutie s related to the service to be performed at the District and have or will have direct contact with students. The District will be the final arbiter of what constitutes direct contact with students. Disqualifying criminal history: Any conviction or other criminal history information designated by the District, or one of the following offenses, if at the time of the o ffense, the victim was under 18 or enrolled in a public school: (a) a felony offense under Title 5, Texas Penal Code; (b) an offense for which a defendant is required to register as a sex offender under Chapter 62, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure; or (c) an equivalent offense under federal law or the laws of another state. I certify that: NONE (Section A) of the employees of Contractor and any subcontractors are covered employees, as defined abo ve. If this box is checked, I further certify that Contractor has taken precautions or imposed conditions to ensure tha t the employees of Contractor and any subcontractor will not become covered employees. Contractor will maintain t hese precautions or conditions throughout the time the contracted services are provided. OR SOME (Section B) or all of the employees of Contractor and any subcontractor are covered employees. If this box is checked, I further certify that: (1) Contractor has obtained all required criminal history record information regarding its covered employees. None of the covered employees has a disqualifying criminal history. (2) If Contractor receives information that a covered employee subsequently has a reported criminal history, Contra ctor will immediately remove the covered employee from contract duties and notify the District in writing within 3 busi ness days. (3) Upon request, Contractor will provide the District with the name and any other requested information of covered employees so that the District may obtain criminal history record information on the covered employees. (4) If the District objects to the assignment of a covered employee on the basis of the covered employee's criminal h istory record information, Contractor agrees to discontinue using that covered employee to provide services at the District. Noncompliance or misrepresentation regarding this certification may be grounds for contract termination. None Texas Business and Commerce Code § 272 Requirements as of 9-1-2017 SB 807 prohibits construction contracts to have provisions requiring the contract to be subject to the laws of anothe r state, to be required to litigate the contract in another state, or to require arbitration in another state.
