The Disaster Assistance clause outlines the obligations and procedures for providing support or relief in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. If an employee does not have a balance of accrued benefits to use, the employee’s time away from work will be unpaid.

During the course of the disaster, ETMC EMS shall use its best efforts to provide emergency coverage throughout the Contract Service Area and shall suspend non- emergency transport work as necessary, informing persons requesting such non- emergency service of the reason for the temporary suspension.
