Time Away From Work. In circumstances where a Union Xxxxxxx will require time away from his assigned work duties to conduct the proper business of the Union, or where such proper business will require a Xxxxxxx to leave the immediate work area to which he is assigned, the Xxxxxxx will advise a management representative before leaving his duties, and when he returns to them.

Time Away From Work. 8.01 (a) (i) Each Full-time Permanent employee is entitled to Emergency Leave under the Employment Standards Act; however, the Company will pay up to 64 hours per payroll year at 100% of the Full-time Permanent employee’s base wage rate for scheduled hours missed. This paid time away from work is intended for use in instances of personal sick leave, family sick leave, personal days and/or such other purposes as set out with the Employment Standards Act. It is not intended for use as vacation entitlement. The Company may require an employee to provide reasonable evidence in these instances of absence/leave.
Time Away From Work. The Employee is entitled to (X) days of vacation. Vacation time must be booked in accordance with company practice. The Employee is entitled to six (6) days of sick leave. A certificate or note from a qualified medical practitioner must be remitted to the employer following a period of three (3) consecutive days of absence caused by illness. The note should indicate the employee’s inability to attend to his/her duties. The note should approve the absence and not justify or identify the medical condition.
Time Away From Work. There shall be a minimum of ten (10) consecutive hours off duty between the completion of one (l) work shift and the commencement of the next, except in case of mutual agreement.
Time Away From Work. A. Paid Time Off (other than official university holidays and bereavement leave). Full time members of the unit with twelve month appointments/reappointments shall be entitled to 15 days paid time off on an annualized basis. If a unit members' appointment/reappointment extends beyond four years, paid time off shall increase to 18 days. Such time shall be prorated for part-time appointments/reappointments and appointments/reappointments for less than a twelve month period. Scheduling of such days shall be made with the approval of the principal investigator or supervisor, which shall not be unreasonably denied. Paid time off may not be rolled over from one appointment/reappointment to the next. Consistent with funding agency regulations, all paid time off shall be exhausted before the final date of employment.

In the event of an investigation of an incident which would affect a Bargaining Unit member, a Union representative shall be notified and properly relieved from duty to conduct an onsite investigation of the matter within thirty (30) minutes for emergent issues, and as soon as practicable for non-emergent issues. If the Business Agent or President appear on behalf of the employee, the Xxxxxxx shall be returned to duty.
Time Away From Work. Each Xxxxxxx, each employee Council representative named in the steps of the Grievance Procedure, and the employee Council representatives on the Negotiating Committee shall be permitted to leave his/her work during working hours (with the permission of his/her supervisor) to perform his/her duties in connection with representing employees and investigating grievances. The supervisor shall give this permission as soon as reasonably possible, but may refuse such permission at any time when the employee's absence from work may seriously interfere with the operation of the business. Each Xxxxxxx shall investigate grievances only in his/her own unit and may be accompanied by the President/Chief Xxxxxxx of the Council or, in his/her absence, his/her authorized representative.
