Common use of Disclosure of Personal Information to the Union Clause in Contracts

Disclosure of Personal Information to the Union. (a) Both parties recognize that in order to fulfill its obligations as the exclusive bargaining agent for members of the bargaining unit, the Union may require the disclosure by the Employer of personal employee information. As such, the Employer agrees to release the required information to the Union on the understanding that it will be relevant to a specific issue or grievance covered by the terms of this Collective Agreement. Release by the Employer of personal health information shall require the employee’s prior written authorization.
