Dismissal for Abandonment of Position. ‌ An employee who fails to report for duty for five consecutive workdays without informing the Commission of the reason for their absence will be presumed to have terminated their employment. An employee shall be afforded the opportunity within 10 business days to rebut such presumption and demonstrate that there were reasonable grounds for not having informed the Commission. It is the responsibility of the employees to maintain contact with the Employer.
