Common use of Dock Day Clause in Contracts

Dock Day. 1. Where a teacher requests a personal business leave day and the sole reason for denial is that three (3) teachers have already requested and received a personal business leave day, the Superintendent may approve a dock day in lieu of a personal business leave day, provided all the requirements for a personal business leave day are otherwise met and, in the Superintendent’s discretion, it is determined that the educational standards for the schools will not be adversely affected by the additional absence or absences of teachers.
