Common use of Donation of PTO Clause in Contracts

Donation of PTO. A nurse may donate a minimum of one (1) hour and a maximum of 250 hours per year of his or her accrued PTO for the benefit of another employee (1) who has a medical hardship and/or (2) who is a member of the Association negotiating committee, subject to the following:

The nurse desiring to donate 6 PTO for another’s benefit must submit a member written request to Human Resources 7 with a description of the Association negotiating committee, subject medical hardship. The Hospital shall review the request 8 for approval based on a determination of whether the standards for medical 9 hardship have been met. Any hours donated through this process shall be 10 transferred to the following:other employee on an irrevocable basis.

The nurse desiring to donate 2 PTO for another’s benefit must submit a member written request to Human Resources 3 with a description of the Association negotiating committee, subject medical hardship. The Employer shall review the 4 request for approval based on a determination of whether the standards for 5 medical hardship have been met. Any hours donated through this process shall 6 be transferred to the following:other employee on an irrevocable basis.
