Dredge Tolerances. The dredge level in the navigation channel shall not exceed an upper tolerance of (+) 0 mm and a lower tolerance of - 200 mm, where (+) indicates a height above the design dredge level and (-) indicates a depth below the design dredge level. No ridges or pinnacles above the design dredge level shall be accepted. Horizontal tolerances for dredging in the navigation channel shall be (-) 0 mm and (+) 250 mm on both sides, where - indicates a deviation of the toe of the dredged slope (towards the channel) from the location specified in the contract drawings and (+) indicates a deviation of the toe of the dredged slope (away from the channel) from the location specified in the contract drawings. The Contractor will not be paid for the extra quantities in depth and slopes flatter than 1:5, beyond tolerances as specified.

  • Plant The expression ‘Plant’ as used in the tender papers shall mean every temporary accessory necessary or considered necessary by the Engineer to execute, construct, complete and maintain the work and all altered, modified, substituted and additional works ordered in the time and the manner herein provided and all temporary materials and special and other articles and appliance of every sort kind and description whatsoever intended or used therefore.
