Common use of Driver's License Suspension Clause in Contracts

Driver's License Suspension. The Company and the Union agree that the suspension of an employee's driver’s licence in most cases reduces the employee's ability to perform his or her regular job duties. In such cases, it is expected the employee will immediately report the driver's license suspension to his or her supervisor. Each case will be reviewed locally, on its own merits, to determine if adjustments to work assignments may be made in an effort to maintain the employee's normal rate of pay, or minimize any pay reduction. However, where it is not practical or reasonable to do so, the Company may assign the employee to other duties if available and the employee's rate of pay will be adjusted to the level of duties being performed.
