Duration and Continuance. 31.1 Once ratified by the parties, this Collective Agreement shall be binding and remain in effect from the 1st day of May 2021 until and including the 30th day of April 2024. 31.2 This Collective Agreement, however, shall continue in force, including during any period of negotiation, until both parties ratify a new Collective Agreement, or until a strike or lockout is declared.‌

This day of the month of , 2013 RE: DISTANCE ALLOWANCE FOR INSTRUCTORS TRAVELLING TO NORTHERN COMMUNITIES TO TEACH PER INTER-UNIVERSITIES SERVICES Whereas some Contract Faculty are hired to teach in northern Manitoba communities as part of the University of Winnipeg commitment to the Inter-Universities Services, and Whereas there is a long-standing practice of enhancing their teaching salary amount by a Distance Allowance that is based on an amount of $3.25/km; and Whereas the Distance Allowance recognizes that there is an additional time commitment of an Instructor for travel time when an Instructor does not live in the community in which they will be teaching a course. Therefore the Parties hereby agree that a Contract Faculty member who is teaching in a northern Manitoba community in which they do not reside, pursuant to the Inter-Universities Services (IUS) agreement, shall be paid a Distance Allowance as set out in the 2006 schedule prepared by Inter-Universities Services, a copy of which is attached to this Letter of Understanding.   • Continuance The Parties hereby confirm that the provisions of the Receivables Transfer Agreement and the other Transaction Documents shall continue in full force and effect, subject only to the amendments effected thereto by this Amendment.

  • Salary Continuance The Employer will continue the salary and benefits coverage of an Employee who is granted leave without pay in accordance with Article 13.01 and will bill the relevant Union for the Employee’s salary. If the leave extends beyond three calendar months, the Employer will, from that point, bill the relevant Union 1.2 times the Employee’s salary until the leave is concluded.

  • TERM, CONTINUATION AND RENEGOTIATION In this Collective Agreement, "Previous Collective Agreement" means the Collective Agreement that was in effect between the two parties for the period July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2019 including any amendments agreed to by the parties during that period. 1. Except as otherwise specifically provided, this Collective Agreement is effective July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022. The parties agree that not less than four (4) months preceding the expiry of this Collective Agreement, they will commence collective bargaining in good faith with the object of renewal or revision of this Collective Agreement and the concluding of a Collective Agreement for the subsequent period. 2. In the event that a new Collective Agreement is not in place by June 30, 2022 the terms of this Collective Agreement are deemed to remain in effect until the date on which a new Collective Agreement is concluded. 3. All terms and conditions of the Previous Collective Agreement are included in the Collective Agreement, except where a term or condition has been amended or modified in accordance with this Collective Agreement. 4. a. If employees are added to the bargaining unit established under section 5 of the Public Education Labour Relations Act during the term of this Collective Agreement, the parties shall negotiate terms and conditions that apply to those employees.
