Common use of Duty Schedule Clause in Contracts

Duty Schedule. 5.3.1 The appropriate supervisor shall, after consultation with the employee involved, determine the employee's schedule of assigned duty, as well as applicable vacation and other leave periods. Approval of all such schedules is the responsibility of the Xxxx/ delegate. In determining an employee's schedule, consideration will be given to the commitment of the College, the needs of the department(s), the expertise and desire of the individual and, if necessary, seniority. The schedule shall be posted and updated as required. 5.3.2 Members of the bargaining unit may be assigned to develop proposals and curriculum for, or to deliver, contract training courses or programs. The following employees may be so assigned: 1) A regular full-time employee not assigned to full-time equivalent duty. 2) A regular part-time employee not assigned up to his/her part- time workload assignment. 3) A regular full-time employee with full-time equivalent duty. Such an assignment must be with the employee's consent and will involve backfilling the employee's position, if required.
