Early Maternity Leave Required by the Board. The Board may require the employee to commence leave of absence where the duties of the employee cannot reasonably be performed because of the pregnancy. Where employees are on leave of absence pursuant to this article and opt to maintain coverage for medical, dental, extended health, group life and long term disability plans, the employer will continue to pay the employer’s share of the required premiums.
