Eating. All tasks of getting food into the body once it has been prepared Xxxxxxxxx’x disease caused due to drug and/or alcohol abuse is excluded
Eating. Feeding oneself by getting food into the body from a receptacle (such as a plate, cup or table) or by a feeding tube or intravenously.
Eating eating is not allowed except in designated places.

For example, the child may: • refuse certain foods • -snack between meals • overeat at meals and hide food until secure in the knowledge that the food will be regularly available • if an infant, require frequent feeding The child requires some assistance and/or supervision beyond what is age appropriate that may be due to a physical or mental disability but attempts to assist. For example, the child may: • attempt to hold spoon • attempt to suck • occasionally eat non-food items • have symptoms of an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia • have a special diet or food preparation requirements The child requires total physical assistance due to a disability. For example the child may: • need to be spoon fed • need hand over hand assistance • have special feeding needs (cleft palate) The child requires continual supervision and monitoring of their eating or intake as their eating patterns have placed them at high risk and the condition cannot readily be rectified with medical intervention. • be fed through a GI tube • need intake and weight loss/gain monitoring • choke frequently • need proper positioning • vomit after each meal (physical cause) • have been diagnosed as anorexic or bulimic • eat non-food items frequently

Does your child drink from cup alone; with assistance What foods does your child seem to like? What foods does your child seem to dislike?

Reaching for, picking up, grasping a utensil and cup; getting food on a utensil; bringing food, utensil, and cup to mouth; manipulating food on plate; and cleaning face and hands as necessary following meal.
