EEO EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES AND COMPLIANCE. 1. The Parties shall comply with the basic tenants of the Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements of Executive Order 11246, as amended by Executive Order 11375, Title VII of the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, various state Fair Employment Practices Acts, and any other federal, state or local laws or ordinances pertaining to equal employment opportunity, and that they will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of race, color, religion, disability, age, sex, national origin or ancestry in matters pertaining to recruitment, hiring, training, upgrading, transfer, compensation or termination. In addition, Contractor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Owner, its parent, affiliates, employees, agents, representatives, and any of its or their officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, or assigns, harmless from all loss, cost or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees for any violation by Contractor, its employees, agents, representatives, or assigns of the rules and regulations set forth and enforced by the Immigration and Naturalization Services pursuant to the Immigration and Nationality Act, as well as the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act which obligation to indemnify shall survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement.

EEO EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES AND COMPLIANCE. 1. The parties hereto agree to voluntarily comply with the basic tenants of the Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements of Executive Order 11246, as amended by Executive Order 11375, Title VII of the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1964, as amended, applicable state Fair Employment Practices Acts, and any other federal or state laws pertaining to equal employment opportunity, and that they will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, alienage or citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, sex marital status, familial status, veteran status, sexual orientation, arrest record or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state and local laws in matters pertaining to recruitment, hiring, training, upgrading, transfer, compensation or termination. In addition, Contractor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Owner, its parent, affiliates, employees, agents, representatives, and any of its or their officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, or assigns, harmless from all loss, cost or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees for any violation by Contractor, its employees, agents, representatives, or assigns of the rules and regulations set forth and enforced by the Immigration and Naturalization Services pursuant to the Immigration and Nationality Act, as well as the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act which obligation to indemnify shall survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement.

  • Employment Practices Contractor agrees to abide by the following employment laws: (i)Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000e) which prohibits discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment or any applicant or recipient of services, on the basis of race, religion, color, or national origin; (ii) Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex; (iii) 45 CFR 90 which prohibits discrimination on the basis of age; (iv) Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, or the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disabilities; and (v) Utah's Executive Order, dated December 13, 2006, which prohibits unlawful harassment in the work place. Contractor further agrees to abide by any other laws, regulations, or orders that prohibit the discrimination of any kind of any of Contractor’s employees.

  • FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES Pursuant to NRS 338.125, Fair Employment Practices, the following provisions must be included in any contract between CONSULTANT and a public body such as CITY:

  • GENERAL EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES 13.1 As the Board is a fair and equal opportunity employer, marital status, race, creed, religion, sex, age, national origin or number of years teaching experience shall not be made a condition of employment. The Board and the Superintendent shall continue to implement and review their Affirmative Action Program designed to prohibit discriminatory practices, provide encouragement for applications from minority groups and women, and maintain the principle of employing a competent staff member to fill each vacancy. The Association will be advised of any proposed changes in the Affirmative Action Program and through the personnel office may make suggestions for improving the plan.

  • Fair Employment Practices and Americans with Disabilities Act Party agrees to comply with the requirement of Title 21V.S.A. Chapter 5, Subchapter 6, relating to fair employment practices, to the full extent applicable. Party shall also ensure, to the full extent required by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended, that qualified individuals with disabilities receive equitable access to the services, programs, and activities provided by the Party under this Agreement. Party further agrees to include this provision in all subcontracts.

  • PRINCIPLES OF GOOD EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE The Supplier shall, and shall procure that each Sub-Contractor shall, comply with any requirement notified to it by the Customer relating to pensions in respect of any Transferring Former Supplier Employee as set down in: the Cabinet Office Statement of Practice on Staff Transfers in the Public Sector of January 2000, revised 2007; HM Treasury's guidance “Staff Transfers from Central Government: A Fair Deal for Staff Pensions of 1999; HM Treasury's guidance: “Fair deal for staff pensions: procurement of Bulk Transfer Agreements and Related Issues” of June 2004; and/or the New Fair Deal. Any changes embodied in any statement of practice, paper or other guidance that replaces any of the documentation referred to in Paragraph 5.1 shall be agreed in accordance with the Variation Procedure.

  • COMPLIANCE WITH EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY ORDINANCE 2.16.1 Contractor shall comply with City’s Equal Employment Opportunity Ordinance as set out in in Section 15-17 of the Code of Ordinances.

  • COMPLIANCE BY CONTRACTOR WITH LAWS AND REGULATIONS/ EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY 6.1 In connection with the performance of the Services, the Contractor shall comply with all applicable statutes, laws, regulations, and orders of federal, state, county or municipal authorities which impose any obligation or duty upon the Contractor, including, but not limited to, civil rights and equal employment opportunity laws. In addition, if this Agreement is funded in any part by monies of the United States, the Contractor shall comply with all federal executive orders, rules, regulations and statutes, and with any rules, regulations and guidelines as the State or the United States issue to implement these regulations.   • EMPLOYEE HEALTH CARE 233. Pursuant to the Charter, the City contributes whatever rate is applicable per month directly into the City Health Service System for each employee who is a member of the Health Service System. Subsequent City contributions will be set pursuant to the Charter.

  • Unfair Labor Practices The Grantee shall comply with the Employers Engaging in Unfair Labor Practices Act, 1980 PA 278, as amended, MCL 423.321 et seq.

  • Employment Procedures Each academic unit shall have the right to make recommendations concerning initial employment within the corresponding unit of all persons with academic titles specified in Article IV, including a recommendation concerning whether such employment shall be with or without tenure, as appropriate. Each academic unit shall develop its own procedures and criteria for making such recommendations to Oakland, which shall initiate all offers of employment. In the case of employment of a faculty member with tenure, FRPC shall have the opportunity to make an employment recommendation to Oakland. In the case of employment of a faculty member with job security, the appropriate CAP shall have the opportunity to make an employment recommendation to Oakland. At the time of employment, Oakland shall determine the value of any prior experience for the purposes of paragraph 38b below; the faculty member shall be notified as to the valuation.
