Common use of Effective Date of Wages and Benefits Clause in Contracts

Effective Date of Wages and Benefits. (a) All new wages and benefits shall be effective from April 1, 2001, unless otherwise specified in this Collective Agreement or the Melding and Levelling Awards. (b) Non-compensation changes will be effective sixty (60) days after the date of ratification unless otherwise specified in the Collective Agreement. (c) Employees governed by certifications granted on or prior to March 31, 2001 shall be entitled to the wage levels set out in the Facilities Subsector Collective Agreement effective October 1, 2000 or six (6) months following certification, whichever is later. For these employees, health and welfare benefit levels of the Facilities Subsector Collective Agreement are effective July 1, 2001 or six (6) months following certifica- tion, whichever is later (except Municipal Pension Plan (MPP) see article 41 and the named carrier, see article 38). Other monetary benefits will be effective the date of ratification of this agreement.
