Eight-Hour Day Limitation. (a) In accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code, and in particular, Sections 1810 to 1815 thereof, inclusive, incorporated herein by reference, eight hours labor shall constitute a day's work, and no worker in the employ of Consultant, or any Subcontractor, doing or contracting to do any part of the work contemplated by the Contract, shall be required or permitted to work more than eight (8) hours in any one calendar day and forty (40) hours in any one calendar week in violation of those provisions; provided that subject to Labor Code Section 1815, a worker may perform work in excess of either eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours during any one week upon compensation for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours during any one week at not less than one and one-half times the basic rate of pay.

It is hereby further agreed that, except as provided in (a) above, the Contractor shall forfeit as a penalty to the City the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25) for each worker employed in the performance of the Contract by the Contractor or by any of its Subcontractors for each calendar day during which such worker is required or permitted to labor more than eight (8) hours in and one calendar day and forty (40) hours in any one calendar week in violation of Sections 1810 through 1815.

  • SALARY LIMITATION The Grantee cannot use the SAPT Block Grant to pay salaries in excess of Level I of the Federal Senior Executive pay scale.

  • BASE PAY RATE The employee's basic hourly rate exclusive of overtime premium, shift premium, stability or any other special allowances.

  • Loading on Annual Leave During a period of annual leave an employee will receive a loading calculated on the rate of wage prescribed by subclause 7.1.3. The loading shall be as follows:

  • Reallocation to a Class with a Lower Salary Range Maximum 1. If the employee meets the skills and abilities requirements of the position and chooses to remain in the reallocated position, the employee retains existing appointment status and has the right to be placed on the Employer’s internal layoff list for the classification occupied prior to the reallocation.

  • Reallocation to a Class with an Equal Salary Range Maximum 1. If the employee meets the skills and abilities requirements of the position, the employee remains in the position and retains existing appointment status.

  • Hourly Wage Rates The Employer shall pay wages to every employee covered by this Agreement at the rates set forth in Schedule "A" hereunto annexed in respect of the various classifications therein contained. Schedule "A" shall be deemed to be contained in, and form a part of this Agreement.

  • Accrual Rate Compensatory time for employees will accrue at the rate of one and one-half hours for each one hour of overtime worked.

  • Accrual Rate of Sick Leave With Pay Credits Full-time employees shall accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave with pay credits for each full month worked. Employees who work less than the full month but at least thirty-two (32) hours during the month shall accrue sick leave with pay on a pro rata basis for the month.
