Accrual of Annual Leave. (a) An employee shall accrue an amount of paid annual leave, for each completed 4 week period of continuous service with the employer, of 1/13 of the number of ordinary hours worked by the employee for the employer during that 4 week period.
(b) Annual leave shall accrue on a pro-rata basis and be credited to the employee monthly.
Accrual of Annual Leave. (1) Full-time employees appointed for more than nine (9) months, except employees on academic year appointments, shall accrue annual leave at the rate of 6.77 hours biweekly (or a number of hours that is directly proportionate to the number of days worked during less than a full-pay period for full-time employees), and the hours accrued shall be credited at the conclusion of each pay period or, upon termination, at the effective date of termination. Employees may accrue annual leave in excess of the year end maximum during a calendar year. Employees with accrued annual leave in excess of the year end maximum (forty-four days or 352 hours) as of December 31, shall have any excess converted to sick leave on an hour-for-hour basis on January 1 of each year.
(2) Part-time employees appointed for more than nine (9) months, and employees with greater than academic year appointments shall accrue annual leave at a rate directly proportionate to the percent of time employed.
(3) Employees appointed for 9 months or less shall not accrue annual leave.
Accrual of Annual Leave. (a) All employees, other than shiftworkers, are entitled to 4 weeks paid annual leave.
(b) Shiftworkers are entitled to one additional week of Annual Leave.
(c) For the purposes of the NES a shiftworker is defined as:
(i) an employee who is regularly rostered to work their ordinary hours outside Monday to Friday, 6am to 7pm; and/or
(ii) an employee who works for more than four ordinary hours on 10 or more weekends.
(d) The entitlement to paid annual leave accrues progressively during a year of service according to the employee's ordinary hours of work, and accumulates from year to year.
Accrual of Annual Leave. Should an employee have not taken annual leave as it falls due from time to time, such annual leave, by mutual arrangement, may be accrued for a period not exceeding 2 years.

Employees may accrue annual leave in excess of the year end maximum during a calendar year. Employees with accrued annual leave in excess of the year end maximum as of December 31, shall have any excess converted to sick leave on an hour-for-hour basis on January 1 of each year.

Faculty may accrue annual leave in excess of the year end maximum during a calendar year. Faculty with accrued annual leave in excess of the year end maximum as of December 31, will have any excess converted to post October 1, 1973 sick leave on an hour-for-hour basis on January 1 of each year.
(2) Part-time faculty appointed for more than nine (9) months, except faculty on academic year appointments, will accrue annual leave at a rate directly proportionate to the percent of time employed.
(3) Academic year faculty and faculty appointed for less than nine (9) months will not accrue annual leave.
