Elective Surgeries. Employees shall make every effort to schedule elective surgeries at times that do not unduly disrupt staffing in their department.

Extended Health Plan (a) The Employer will pay 100% of the monthly premiums for the extended health care plan that will cover the employee, their spouse and dependent children, provided they are not enrolled in another plan.
Displaced Employees In the event of a reduction in the work force, regular employees shall be laid-off in reverse order of seniority, provided that there are available employees with greater seniority who are qualified and willing to do the work of the employees laid-off. An employee who is qualified and yet unwilling to do the work shall be laid-off.
Extended Health Care Plan (a) The Employer shall pay the monthly premium for regular employees entitled to coverage under a mutually acceptable Extended Health Care Plan.
Union Bargaining Committees A union bargaining committee shall consist of employees who are representatives of the Union together with the President of the Union or designate. The Union shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of members of the staff of the Union when negotiating with the Employer.
Medical Appointment for Pregnant Employees 35.9.1 Up to three decimal seven five (3.75) hours of reasonable time off with pay for each appointment will be granted to pregnant employees for the purpose of attending routine medical appointments.
Extended Health Care Benefits 12.02(a) The City will provide for all employees by contract through an insurer selected by the City an Extended Health Care Plan which will provide extended health care benefits. The City shall pay one hundred per cent (100%) of the premiums, which will include any premiums payable under The Health Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended. Collective Bargaining Committee The Employer agrees to recognize a Collective Bargaining Committee whose sole functions shall be to meet with Employer representatives for the purpose of negotiating modifications to this Agreement. The committee shall be composed of two (2) stewards from the bargaining unit together with the Union's Business Agent. The Employer agrees to pay committee members at their regular straight time rate for all time lost from their regular schedule of work while in collective bargaining meetings with Employer representatives.
Promoted Employees 1. An employee who has served one-half (1/2) or more of the time required to be considered for their next step increase, shall upon promotion to a position in a higher wage range in the Bargaining Unit, be placed at Step A of the higher range or such other step as will provide an increase of two
Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:
Extended Health Benefit Plan (a) All regular and probationary employees after three (3) months employment will be covered by a one hundred percent (100%) Extended Health Benefit Plan with the standard $100.00 deductible. The City will pay eighty percent (80%) of the costs and the twenty percent (20%) deduction for employees shall be made through payroll deductions. The extended health lifetime maximum will be $1,000,000.
