Common use of Emergencies and Inclement Weather Clause in Contracts

Emergencies and Inclement Weather. 6.10.1 If it becomes necessary to close school or delay the start of the school day the District will make every effort to notify the employees via radio and/or telephone by 5:30 a.m. of that morning. The District reserves the right to close or delay the start of school after 5:30 a.m. if hazardous conditions warrant it. 6.10.2 Employees who report to their worksite without being contacted by 5:30 a. m. that morning will be compensated for two (2) hours at their regular rate of pay. 6.10.3 If an emergency arises after the end of a workday and an employee is called back to work and the emergency is resolved before the employee’s arrival, that employee shall be compensated two (2) hours show-up pay.
