Emergency Rehearsal. An "emergency rehearsal" shall mean a rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an Artist to perform his/her full duties due to sickness or injury or other cause, when the Theatre did not have adequate prior knowledge of the emergency in order to schedule a regular replacement rehearsal.

Emergency Rehearsal. ‌ An Artist called for Emergency Rehearsal shall invoice the Engager at Rate 1 of Clause 13:01(F) (See also Clause 13:01(F)(v)).

Additionally, the Artist shall invoice the Engager for additional services at Rate 2 in Clause 13:09 for any Emergency Rehearsal which invades the overnight rest period. When an Emergency Rehearsal must be called on a Free Day, then the Artist shall invoice the Engager for additional services at Rate 3 in Clause 13:09. The minimum call paid for Emergency Rehearsal on the Free Day shall be three (3) hours.

Emergency rehearsals shall be allowed only when the Engager did not have adequate prior knowledge of the emergency in order to schedule a regular replacement rehearsal. Such emergency rehearsal in no case shall exceed the running time of the opera. No additional services fees shall apply for such emergency rehearsal unless it invades the overnight rest period or the free day. The Artist shall invoice the Engager for the additional services at Rate 2 as specified in Clause 11:09(C) if the emergency rehearsal invades the overnight rest period. The overnight rest period may be reduced by one (1) hour by the full company by secret vote. When an emergency rehearsal is called on a free day the Artist shall invoice the Engager for the additional services at Rate 3 as specified in Clause 11:09(C). The minimum call shall be three (3) hours. Nevertheless, the emergency rehearsal shall take place within twenty-four (24) hours of the emergency or within twenty-four (24) hours of the arrival of the replacement Artist.
Emergency Rehearsal. An Emergency Rehearsal is a rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an ARTIST, choreographer or choreographer's representative to perform services due to sickness, injury or severe weather conditions. Such Emergency Rehearsal shall be posted by the EMPLOYER not more than twenty-four (24) hours after the EMPLOYER learns of the emergency or when the EMPLOYER can submit proof to the AGMA delegates that the rehearsal could not have been scheduled at any other time. In any case, the ARTIST called for Emergency Rehearsals will receive the prevailing rate.
Emergency Rehearsal. A rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an Artist to perform due to absence, sickness or injury when such emergency rehearsal is posted by the Employer as soon as possible after the Employer learns of the emergency. In addition to any emergency rehearsal due to absence, sickness or injury of any Artist, the Artist may be retained for emergency rehearsal due to an artistic emergency if the lack of such rehearsal would endanger the artistic standard of a work being presented.

Emergency Rehearsal. An ARTIST may be retained for emergency rehearsal due to an artistic emergency or the inability of an ARTIST to perform due to sickness or injury if the lack of such rehearsal would endanger the artistic standards of a work being presented. Any ARTIST called for such a rehearsal shall be compensated at the applicable rate.
Emergency Rehearsal. An Emergency Rehearsal is defined as a rehearsal necessitated by the inability of an ARTIST to appear in a performance and when no appropriate second or alternative cast is available. Emergency Rehearsals shall include circumstances or events of which the EMPLOYER had not been advised more than forty-eight (48) hours in advance. When the ARTIST is unable to give the EMPLOYER forty-eight (48) hours’ notice, the EMPLOYER may change the rehearsal schedule only on a performance day or a Dress Rehearsal day, thereby making use of two (2) hours of rehearsal time available to the EMPLOYER. Any such change shall be posted no later than two (2) hours after the EMPLOYER is informed about the emergency or no later than by class time on the next day if such notice is received after two (2) hours prior to the end of the work day. EMPLOYER shall not be penalized for changes to the schedule made in accordance with this paragraph In the event there are no rehearsal hours between said performance and the performance which is thereby affected, the EMPLOYER may call a spacing or mark- through rehearsal at the half (½) hour call or during intermission during a performance. An Emergency Rehearsal that can be scheduled without changing the ARTIST’s originally scheduled rehearsal time, as stated on the daily schedule, shall not accrue additional pay. Other Emergency Rehearsals shall be compensated at the Overtime rate.

For the purposes of this Clause, an article shall be defined as an element of costume and clothing as defined in Clause and shall additionally include hairpieces. The Theatre further agrees that any article of apparel from the Artist’s personal wardrobe used in the production will be repaired or replaced if damaged during production. Costumes worn by the Actor are to be cleaned or kept sanitary at the Theatre’s expense at least once every two weeks or more often if necessary, and in any case within one week before the show goes on a tour of two weeks or longer. Beards and hairpieces furnished by the Theatre, shall be freshly cleaned when delivered to the Actor and cleaned thereafter whenever necessary but at least every three weeks. Lace in all beards, moustaches and hairpieces will be cleaned daily. No Actor shall be required to use a wig or hairpiece, including a facial hairpiece, which has been worn by another Actor until the hairpiece or wig has been thoroughly cleaned and properly fitted. After cleaning, hairpieces must be dried and aired prior to issue to the Actor. This provision may be waived in the case of an emergency. A schedule of such cleaning shall be maintained by the Deputies and Stage Manager. Stockings, shirts, and other “skin parts” of costumes and/or clothes supplied by the Theatre shall be laundered daily by the Theatre. The Theatre shall not require the Artist to wear any costume, clothing, hat or footwear that is not in a thoroughly sanitary and dry condition. The Theatre shall furnish when necessary for rehearsal and/or performances.
