Employee Access to Personnel File. An employee, upon written request to, or with the agreement of, the Manager of Human Resources, shall be permitted to review his/her personnel file. Such review shall take place during normal MainePERS working hours, under MainePERS supervision. An employee may review his/her personnel file at reasonable times during his/her work hours, unless this would interfere with the employee’s work obligations. An employee shall have the right to have placed in his/her personnel file a response of reasonable length to any item contained in it.
