Employee PERS Cost Sharing. All Classic employees of the bargaining unit shall pay 100% of the required member contribution (9%). In accordance with PEPRA and Government Code section 20516 the parties shall engage in sharing the "normal cost" of retirement benefits as described below. • All classic employees in the bargaining unit shall contribute six percent (6.0%) of the Employer's costs for PERS retirement with a total employee contribution of fifteen percent (15%).
