Employee Retirement or Resignation Prior to Fulfilling Term of Commitment Sample Clauses

Employee Retirement or Resignation Prior to Fulfilling Term of Commitment. Should a employee who has initiated participation in the District Retirement Option retire or resign before the date specified in the letter of intent which initiated that participation, the Employee shall be responsible for reimbursing the District an amount (“reimbursement amount”) equal to the difference between the compensation actually received by the Employee through participation in the District Retirement Option and the amount of compensation the Employee would have received had he/she not initiated participation in the District Retirement Option. The Employee shall pay the reimbursement amount in full within 60 days of the Employee’s last date of employment. Alternatively, the Employee and the Board may negotiate and agree to a different payment plan, including but not limited to a withholding schedule from payroll checks due to the Employee during the Employee’s period of employment. At the initiation of participation in the District Retirement Option the Employee will be required to sign an agreement that affirms knowledge and understanding of the terms of the District Retirement Option, which includes the reimbursement clause outlined above.
