Common use of Employee’s Birthday Clause in Contracts

Employee’s Birthday. The employee’s birthday, which is presently a paid holiday, may be celebrated on a date other than that on which the birthday falls, subject to approval of the Department Head. Such alternative day shall be taken in the calendar year in which the birthday occurs. Failure to take the holiday within the calendar year shall result in forfeiture of the holiday.
