Common use of Employees on Leave Clause in Contracts

Employees on Leave. If an employee is on leave when an alert status shift is 10 called, he/she will not be called to work unless it is operationally necessary to do so. Employees who 11 have been pre-approved for leave may be relieved from Alert when the leave is scheduled to begin 12 unless the employee elects to cancel or postpone the start of the leave or is operationally necessary 13 due to emergent conditions for management to cancel the leave. In the event that an employee’s 14 approved prescheduled leave is cancelled due to Alert, the County agrees to reimburse the 15 employee’s documented unreimbursed travel expenses that are directly attributed to the cancelled
