Employer Required Instruction. The Employer shall pay the full cost of any course of instruction required by the Employer for an Employee to become better qualified to perform the Employee's job. The Employer will pay (100%) one hundred percent of the course fee upon enrollment in the course. Leave of Absence with pay shall be granted to attend the course of instruction and to allow Employees time to write examinations for courses required by the Employer. In the event the instruction or examination is outside normal working hours or on the Employee’s day of rest, the Employee shall be paid their classification rate at straight time for the instruction or the examination time. Where an employee is required to attend a course of instruction or examination on a scheduled day of rest, the rescheduling of the day of rest to another day shall be arranged by mutual agreement.
