Common use of EMPLOYER SECURITY Clause in Contracts

EMPLOYER SECURITY. ‌ 4.1 The UNION agrees that during the life of this Agreement neither the UNION, its officers or agents, nor any of the employees covered by this Agreement will cause, encourage, participate in, or support any strike, slowdown, mass absenteeism, mass resignation, or other interruption of or interference with the operation of the Office. In the event that an employee violates this Article, the UNION shall immediately notify any such employees in writing to cease and desist from such action and shall instruct them to immediately return to their normal duties. Any or all employees who violate any of the provisions of this Article may be discharged or otherwise disciplined.

In recognition of the provisions included in this Agreement for a grievance procedure providing for arbitration to be used for resolution of disputes, the Union agrees that neither the UNIONUnion, its officers Officers or agentsAgents, nor or any of the employees covered by this Agreement will causeengage in work stoppage, encouragework slow-downs, participate insick- ins, or support any strike, slowdown, mass absenteeism, mass resignation, or other interruption of or interference with the operation of the Office. In the event that an employee violates this Article, the UNION shall immediately notify any such employees in writing to cease and desist from such action and shall instruct them to immediately return to their normal duties. Any or all employees who violate any of the provisions of this Article may will be discharged subject to discharge or otherwise disciplinedother discipline as appropriate under applicable rules and/or laws.
