Employment Opportunities for the Public. The community expressed the need for the contractor to give the first priority to the local community members during the recruitment of both skilled and unskilled labour. It is also in the interest of the developer to employ local community members provided that they have the required skills and experience to undertake the tasks that will be at hand. This requirement will be included in the contractor’s contract. Although the exact number of employment opportunities that will be available during both the construction and operational phases are not yet determined; the construction phase will be present a number of unskilled and semi-skilled job opportunities which can be taken up by the local community members.
