Job Opportunities. 16.01 Vacancies to be filled which fall within the Bargaining Unit will be posted at the worksite for a period of not less than seven (7) calendar days. The posting shall contain the following information:
(a) qualifications and/or competencies as required;
(b) employment status (Regular, Temporary, Casual);
(c) classification and full-time equivalency (FTE);
(d) range of rate of pay;
(e) if temporary, the anticipated duration of such position. Also, for information purposes only, a notice of vacancy shall specify the number of hours per shift, shift pattern and the shift cycle.
(a) All applications for job postings shall be made in writing to the contact person designated on the posting.
(b) A copy of all job postings shall be forwarded to the Union and the Union shall be advised of all successful candidates.
(a) When filling vacancies within the bargaining unit, the determining factor shall be the senior qualified applicant shall be awarded the position.
(b) Subject to 16.03 (a), Regular Employees shall be given preference over Temporary, Casual and external applicants.
16.04 The Employer shall, within five (5) working days of making an appointment to fill the transfer, promotion or vacancy, post the name of the successful candidate with the posting number on the bulletin board provided for that purpose. The notice shall remain posted for five (5) calendar days. The Employer shall provide the Employee with a letter confirming, in writing, the transfer, promotion or selection into the vacancy.
16.05 A regular Employee who applies for and is successful on a temporary posting shall maintain their status as a Regular Employee. At the completion of the temporary term, the Regular Employee shall return to their former position.
16.06 The Parties may mutually agree to waive application of this Article.
16.07 An Employee transferred or promoted to a position in the Bargaining Unit requiring new or more progressed abilities or qualifications shall serve a trial period of up to five hundred and five (505) hours worked in the new position. During the trial period the Employee may either:
(a) return to their former position at the Employee’s request, if available; or
(b) be returned to their former position by the Employer; but in either circumstance, at the sole discretion of the Employer, the Employee may be assigned to a similar position consistent with their abilities and/or qualifications, which position may not be in the same classification.

Job Opportunities a. Whenever a job opportunity, vacancy, federal or state funded position shall occur or a new position be created which is not of a promotional nature, teachers in the Lincoln School System shall be given preference in filling such job opportunity, vacancy, or position. The time limits and regulations for the posting of Job Opportunity notices shall be the same as those governing Assignment and Transfer.
b. All teachers, regularly assigned to teach in the School System, who have filed written applications, shall be given preference for jobs for which additional compensation is provided, and for all federally funded programs.
c. Where other qualifications for the positions mentioned above are equal, selection shall be made on the basis of seniority.
d. All applicants from within the Lincoln School System shall receive a letter from the Superintendent or his/her designee within ten (10) days of the appointment either notifying them that they have or have not been appointed.
e. Where the other provisions of this article have been met, not being given the position will not constitute a grievance.
f. In the event that a job vacancy exists for the position of Department Chairperson, or in the event that a new position of Department Chairperson is created, a posting will take place within the building in which that vacancy exists. Teachers from within the said department may apply for the vacant position and be considered for appointment. No person may be eligible for the position of Department Chairperson unless they are a member of the department for which the vacancy exists.
g. For the purposes of assignment and transfer, teachers whose assignments reflect professional responsibilities in more than one (1) building shall be considered assigned to the building where the majority of their scheduled responsibilities occur. A teacher who is assigned to a building for at least .5 FTE of his/her professional responsibilities shall not be considered involuntarily transferred when his/her schedule is administratively changed, provided that he/she retains at least .5 FTE in the same building. Systemwide assignments shall not be contrived so as to prevent teachers in these assignments from securing assignment to a specific building.
h. In the event that a teacher has an assignment that includes equal FTE ratios in two or more buildings, the teacher’s home school status and subsequent transfer status shall be determined by mutual agreement of Director of Student Services...

Job Opportunities. 16.01 Vacancies to be filled which fall within the Bargaining Unit will be posted for a period of not less than seven (7) calendar days.
16.02 All applications delivered in writing to the Employer during such period of posting will be considered. Internal applicants who apply on a posted position shall be informed in writing of their acceptance or rejection within seven (7) calendar days of the date of appointment.
16.03 In making selections, as a result of a posted vacancy, preferential consideration over outside applicants shall be given to Employees who possess the required qualifications needed to fill the position. Selections will be based on job knowledge, experience, education, special skills, and ability to supervise if applicable. Where these skills are judged equal by the Employer, seniority will be the determining factor.
16.04 A copy of all Bargaining Unit postings shall be forwarded to the Chief Xxxxxxx and when the appointment has been made, the Chief Xxxxxxx shall be notified of the appointee’s name and the Department concerned.
16.05 A Full-time or Part-time Employee who applies for and is successful on a temporary posting shall maintain her status as a Full-time or Part-time Employee. At the completion of the temporary term, the Full-time or Part- time Employee shall return to her former position.

Job Opportunities. It is the responsibility of every Continuing Education Teacher covered by this Article to notify the Board, in writing, of any change of address or change of telephone number, fax number or email address needed to contact the Teacher regarding continuing education teaching assignments.
Job Opportunities. 35.01 All vacancies in positions covered by this Agreement shall be posted on the College's web site and the Human Resources Department's bulletin boards. Where a competition is advertised externally, the vacancy will normally be posted internally at the same time.
35.02 The Employer agrees that where qualifications, skill and other relevant attributes of applicants are considered by the Employer to be equal seniority shall be the deciding factor.
35.03 Where the factors considered in clause 35.02 are equal or superior, the Employer shall give preference to internal qualified Employees over outside applicants.
35.04 In situations where the period of employment is for less than four (4) weeks, there will not be a requirement to post for the position. Should the period of employment exceed the original four (4) week period the position will be posted in the normal manner.
Job Opportunities a) On a yearly basis each Occasional Teacher on the Occasional Teacher List shall be given the opportunity to indicate whether the teacher is available for Long Term Occasional Teacher positions.
b) The Board shall give first consideration to Occasional Teachers who have indicated that they are available for Long Term Occasional Teacher positions and who have the required qualifications for the Long Term Occasional position being advertised. This clause shall apply to those positions for which the Principal is aware at least three (3) weeks in advance.
c) The Board shall review and consider, but shall not be limited to, Occasional Teachers who have applied for regular probationary teaching assignments in the elementary panel.
Job Opportunities. 4.01 The employer agrees to display on each Accounts employee bulletin board and to provide the Union with a listing of open vacant full time positions on January, April and September of each year for all ARAMARK locations represented by UNITE HERE in the Greater Toronto Area. Preference will be given to ARAMARK employees from other UNITE HERE locations that possess the necessary qualification skills ability and experience and can meet the job description requirements. In cases where there is a permanant lay-off with no anticipated return to work date the employer agrees to display on the bulletin board of the affected location and to provide the Union with a list of open vacant full time positions for all ARAMARK locations represented by UNITE HERE in the Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxx Area.
