Entitlement to paid personal leave. 11.1.1 Subject to the notice requirements outlined in clause 11.4 below, the employee is entitled to paid personal leave when absent: a) due to personal illness or injury (sick leave); or b) for the purpose of caring for an ‘immediate family or household’ member requiring care or support due to personal illness or injury, or an unexpected emergency affecting the member (xxxxx’s leave); or c) for compassionate reasons for the purpose of spending time with a person who is a member of the employee’s ‘immediate family or household’ whom has a personal illness or injury, posing a serious threat to his or her life or on the death of an ‘immediate family or household’ member (compassionate leave).
