Establishment of Probationary Period. If the Superintendent concurs with a supervisor's judgment that the performance of a certificated employee is unsatisfactory, the Superintendent shall place said employee in a probationary status. On or before February 1, said employee shall be given written notice of the action of the Superintendent. Said notice shall contain the following information: (A) Specific areas of performance deficiencies, (B) Improvements required for acceptable performance, (C) A suggested specific and reasonable program for improvement, and (D) A statement indicating the duration of the probationary period and that the purpose of the probationary period is to give the employee the opportunity to demonstrate improvement in his or her area or areas of deficiency.
