Common use of Establishment of Probationary Period Clause in Contracts

Establishment of Probationary Period. If the Superintendent concurs with the evaluator’s report, the Superintendent will place the employee on a probationary status beginning on or before February 1, and ending on or before May 1. On or before February 1, the employee will be given written notice of the action of the Superintendent which notice will contain the following information. a. Specific areas of performance deficiencies; b. A specific and reasonable plan for improvement; c. A statement indicating the duration of the probationary period. The purpose of the probationary period is to give the employee the opportunity to demonstrate improvement in his or her area(s) of deficiency.
