Establishment of Probationary Period. If the Superintendent concurs with the Principal's judgment that the performance of the non- provisional employee is unsatisfactory, the Superintendent shall place the employee on probation after October 15 and no later than February 1, lasting for a period up to sixty (60) school days and ending no later than May 1. The employee shall be given written notice of the action of the Superintendent, which notice shall contain the following information: 1. Specific areas of performance deficiencies; 2. A specific, achievable, and time- bound program for improvement; 3. A statement indicating the duration of the probationary period and that the purpose of the probationary period is to give the employee the opportunity to demonstrate improvement in the area or areas of deficiency.
