Establishment of Probationary Period. If the Superintendent concurs with the supervisor’s judgment that the performance of the employee is unsatisfactory, the Superintendent shall place the employee on probationary status beginning after October 15 and no later than February 1. After October 15 and no later than February 15, the employee shall be given written notice of the action of the Superintendent which notice shall contain the following information: a. Specific areas of performance deficiencies; b. A suggested specific and reasonable program for improvement; c. A statement indicating the duration of the probationary period which shall be in accordance with law (60 school days as of the effective date of this Agreement); d. A statement that the purpose of the probationary period is to give the employee the opportunity to demonstrate improvement in his/her area of deficiency.
