Common use of Extended Illness Status Clause in Contracts

Extended Illness Status. (a) An employee who exhausts his sick leave or who is off work because of illness or injury longer than fourteen (14) days without sick leave pay shall be placed on extended illness status for three (3) years from the first day placed on such status. The employee shall, when placed on extended illness status, file his address with the Company and shall thereafter promptly advise the Company of any change in address. The System General Chairman will be notified by two (2) copies of a letter stating the employee's name, home address, work location, job title and the date he is placed on extended illness status.
