Family Health/Disability Leaves. After one (1) year of service, an employee will be granted a leave of absence for up to twelve (12) weeks for the purposes listed in FMLA. The employee shall provide medical certification upon request. If an employee fails to return to work on his/her own volition upon expiration of FMLA, the employee may be required to reimburse the District the cost of insurance premiums paid by the employer within ten (10) days of the request for repayment. Paid sick time shall count toward FMLA. Eligibility shall be based upon a “rolling year.” This section shall be administered consistent with FMLA and its regulations.
