Finals Eligibility. 6.1 Any NEAFL Player, who is primary listed with or contracted to a NEAFL Club, must play a total of not less than four (4) matches for premiership points in the Home & Away season in a team or teams of a AFL Canberra competition, before being eligible to compete in the AFL Canberra finals in that season. 6.2 The eligibility of a NEAFL Player to participate in the AFL Canberra finals in any season will otherwise be determined in accordance with the AFL Canberra By-Laws. If a NEAFL Player is delisted and registers with an AFL Canberra Club which was not his previously aligned AFL Canberra Club post 30 June of that season , the Player will only be available to play AFL Canberra finals matches for their current AFL Canberra Club subject to meeting the other eligibility criteria in the AFL Canberra By-Laws. 6.3 Where a NEAFL Primary Listed player is not selected by their NEAFL Club, and plays for an AFL Canberra Club on the same weekend, this match will count towards finals eligibility for their aligned AFL Canberra Club. 6.4 Matches played by NEAFL Players in the NSW/ACT State Under 18 TAC Cup & National Championships will count towards finals eligibility for the AFL Canberra first grade competition. 6.5 When a NEAFL Club is competing in a NEAFL finals match on the same weekend as an AFL Canberra finals match, a NEAFL Primary Listed Player not selected by their NEAFL Club will be eligible to play in the AFL Canberra finals match provided they satisfy clause 6.1.

Finals Eligibility. 6.1 When a NEAFL club is competing in a finals round on the same weekend as an aligned QAFL club finals match, the NEAFL player will be eligible to play in the QAFL match irrespective of qualification. 6.2 Any player, who is primary listed with or contracted to a NEAFL club, must play a total of not less than three (3) matches for premiership points in the Home & Away season in a team or teams of the QAFL, before being eligible to compete in the QAFL finals in that season. 6.3 The eligibility of a player to participate in the QAFL finals in any season will be determined by the AFL Queensland Rules & Regulations. 6.4 Where a NEAFL primary listed player is not selected by his NEAFL club, and plays for an AFL club on the same weekend, this game will count towards finals eligibility for their aligned QAFL club in the senior grade (not reserves). 6.5 National U18 Championship & U18 Academy matches that fall on the same weekend as a scheduled QAFL fixture will count towards the finals eligibility for the player’s aligned QAFL club (seniors only, not reserves) for NEAFL primary listed players. 6.6 If there is any conflict between this clause 6 and the QAFL Rules, then the QAFL Rules will prevail.
Finals Eligibility. 8.1 When a VFL Club is competing on the same weekend as the Player’s aligned AFL Sydney Club’s finals match, if not selected in the VFL team, the player will be eligible to play in the AFL Sydney Premier Division match irrespective of qualification. 8.2 When the VFL Club is not participating in VFL finals, any VFL Player must have played a minimum of six (6) home and away games in the current season for his AFL Sydney Club to be eligible to compete in an AFL Sydney Premier Division finals match and must not have played nine (9) or more VFL games in that season.

Finals Eligibility a) A player cannot take the court for a team in a Finals Game unless they have played a minimum of seven (7) Regular Season Games for that team during the Season. b) In the NBL1 North DNP’s count as games played. c) An Association may apply for a special dispensation to the League Manager if the player has: a. Missed games due to injury i. The Association must provide the League Manager with a Medical Certificate detailing the length of time the player missed due to injury; and ii. This length of time must have caused the player to miss enough games that should they have been able to play these games they would have qualified for finals. b. Missed games due to representing their State in National Championships, World Uni Games, Australian official national duties such as national camps or playing for Australia at a FIBA sanctioned event such as the Official FIBA Championship Qualifying event; c. The special dispensation must be applied for at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the first finals game.
