Financial support for trainees Sample Clauses

Financial support for trainees. The University recognises that students from low-income households are the most likely to require financial support for their PGCE studies. The University will therefore offer a £500 bursary for all Home/EU students whose household income is below £25,000, as assessed by Student Finance England. Based on 2011 entry data, 212 students out of a total of 545 entrants (c40%) had a declared household income of less than £25,000. Assuming a similar proportion of students will enrol in 2012/13, this would mean providing a £500 bursary for c210 students – meaning total expenditure of c£105,000 on financial support for trainees.
