Common use of Floating Holidays Clause in Contracts

Floating Holidays. 216. Five (5) floating holidays in each fiscal year to be taken on days selected by the employee subject to the approval of the appointing officer. Employees (both full time and part-time) must complete six (6) months continuous service to establish initial eligibility for the floating holidays. Employees hired on an as-needed, intermittent or seasonal basis shall not receive the additional floating holidays. Floating holidays received in one fiscal year but not used may be carried forward to the next succeeding fiscal year.
