Floating – Licensed Vocational Nurses. It is the intent of the parties to minimize the incidence of floating staff from their regularly assigned unit except when it is necessary from the standpoint of patient care. Consistent with this intent, all reasonable efforts will be made to limit the floating of staff to like units (e.g., critical care to critical care, acute care to acute care, etc.) Licensed Vocational Nurses who float from their normal area of work to another area will not be expected to perform duties exceeding the basic Licensed Vocational Nurse scope of practice. Every reasonable effort will be made not to float staff to more than one area during any one shift; however, adjustments may be necessary based on the patient care needs of the hospital. All efforts shall be made to return the floated Licensed Vocational Nurse to his/her home unit in the event the home unit's patient care need increases to the point where additional staff is required. The Charge Nurse of the receiving unit will review the assignment with the Licensed Vocational Nurse to assure that the assignment is consistent with the Licensed Vocational Nurse's abilities. A Licensed Vocational Nurse who is temporarily reassigned (floated) to another nursing unit for a period of one to five days will be under the direct supervision of a competent Registered Nurse and will be assigned to a resource person or preceptor. A copy of the unit orientation and expectations will be provided to the floated Licensed Vocational Nurse upon arrival to the unit. A Licensed Vocational Nurse who is reassigned to another nursing unit for a period in excess of five days will receive orientation and/or cross training prior to the reassignment. The orientation and/or cross training plan will be developed based on the experience and skill level of the Licensed Vocational Nurse, the unit needs, and will be mutually agreed upon by the reassigned Licensed Vocational Nurse and the receiving Department Manager. The reassigned Licensed Vocational Nurse will be assigned to a preceptor. Any Licensed Vocational Nurse who is floated to another area is expected to immediately share any concerns about his/her assignment or about quality of the care being provided with the appropriate person (Charge Nurse, Nursing Department Manager, Shift Supervisor, etc.).

  • Obligations of Registry Operator to TLD Community Registry Operator shall establish registration policies in conformity with the application submitted with respect to the TLD for: (i) naming conventions within the TLD, (ii) requirements for registration by members of the TLD community, and (iii) use of registered domain names in conformity with the stated purpose of the community-­‐based TLD. Registry Operator shall operate the TLD in a manner that allows the TLD community to discuss and participate in the development and modification of policies and practices for the TLD. Registry Operator shall establish procedures for the enforcement of registration policies for the TLD, and resolution of disputes concerning compliance with TLD registration policies, and shall enforce such registration policies.
