Formal Step / School Board. The grievant may, within twenty (20) workdays after receipt of the written decision of the Superintendent or his designee appeal in writing to the School Board. Such appeal shall be filed with the School Board with a copy directed to the Superintendent. The School Board shall thereafter, and no later than thirty (30) days from the date of filing of such appeal, hold a hearing on the matter. The School Board's decision in the matter shall be rendered at the next regular School Board meeting after the hearings.

Arbitration - The grievant may within ten (10) workdays after receipt of the written decision of the School Board file a request with the School Board for a final and binding disposition by an impartial neutral, mutually selected by the parties; provided, however, that an arbitrator or other neutral shall not have the power to add to, subtract from, modify, or alter the terms of the bargaining agreement.

  • School Board Any reference to School Board or District in this Agreement shall mean the District and/or its designated officials.
