Fringe Benefits while on Unpaid Leave. During an unpaid leave, except those covered by the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, the employee will be responsible to pay to the Accounting Office each month, an amount sufficient to pay the insurance premiums if the employee chooses to continue coverage. All other fringe benefits shall terminate upon the commencement of the leave of absence, except those leaves and benefits covered under the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, and will be reinstated upon the employee’s return. It is the employee’s responsibility to complete necessary paperwork in the Human Resources Office to reinstate fringe benefits and insurance coverage.
