Common use of Full-Time Public Duties Clause in Contracts

Full-Time Public Duties. The Employer shall grant, on written request with reasonable notice of not less than 30 calendar days, leave of absence without pay or benefits and without gain or loss of seniority: (a) for employees to seek election in a municipal (or equivalent), provincial, federal, First Nation or other Indigenous election for a maximum period of 90 days; (b) for employees elected to an office listed in (a) above for one term in office to a maximum of five years; (c) for Reserve Duty and training for the Canadian Armed Forces for a maximum period of one year.
