Rest Interval After Overtime. An employee required to work overtime adjoining his/her regularly scheduled shift shall be entitled to eight (8) clear hours between the end of the overtime work and the start of his/her next regular shift. Rest Interval After Overtime. The Employer shall make every effort to ensure a rest interval of eight (8) clear hours between the end of overtime and the beginning of the next regular shift.
Rest Interval After Overtime. (i) Employees called out to work overtime are entitled to an eight (8) hour break after the overtime without loss of pay. (ii) Employees are required to report to work if the eight (8) hour break after overtime expires before the midpoint of the shift. (iii) The shift will be forgiven without loss of straight time pay if the eight (8) hour break expires after the midpoint of the shift. (iv) Employees who are required by the Employer to return to work before the expiry of the eight (8) hour break will be paid at two (2) times their regular rate of straight time pay for all hours worked on that shift. (v) Employees called out to work overtime less than four (4) hours before the start of his regular working day or shift will work his regular shift at straight time and be paid overtime for the period of the callout before the shift.

Whether or not the employee does report to work he/she shall nevertheless be paid for the regular shift following the overtime at his/her normal straight-time rate. (ii) However, if the employee’s overtime finished at or before eight (8) hours prior to the mid-point of his/her regular shift on the day in question, the employee must return to work by the mid-point of his/her regular shift in order to qualify for full pay for his/her regular shift. (iii) An employee who is called in and reports to work before the expiration of his/her eight (8) hours absence shall receive double time (200%) payment for those hours which coincide with the working hours of his/her normal shift, plus his/her regular salary for the day. (iv) Notwithstanding (i), (ii) and (iii) above, a call-out occurring within a period of four (4) hours prior to the commencement of his/her regular working day or shift will nevertheless require an employee to report at his/her regular hour and be paid at straight-time rates for his/her full regular shift.
