Common use of Full Time Union Leave Clause in Contracts

Full Time Union Leave. Upon application by the Union, in writing, the organization will give reasonable consideration to a request for leave of absence, without pay, to an employee elected or appointed to full-time Union office. It is understood that not more than one (1) employee in the Bargaining Unit may be on such leave at the same time. Such leave, if granted, shall be for a period of one (1) calendar year from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties.

It is understood that not more than one three (13) employee employees in the Bargaining Unit bargaining unit may be on such leave at the same time. Such leave, if granted, Seniority shall be for a period frozen and retained as of one (1) calendar year from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of that the partiesleave commenced.

Upon application by the Union, in writing, the organization Employer will give reasonable consideration to grant a request for leave of absence, without pay, to an employee elected or appointed to a full-time Union officeoffice (i.e. President or Vice-President). It is understood that not no more than one (1) employee in the Bargaining Unit bargaining unit may be on such leave at the same time. Such leave, if granted, shall be for a period of one two (12) calendar year years from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties.

Such Seniority and service shall accumulate during the full term of such leave, if granted, shall be for a period of one (1) calendar year from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties.
