Common use of Furlough Days Without Pay Clause in Contracts

Furlough Days Without Pay. Subject to the prior written approval of the appointing authority, employees may elect to take furlough days or hours without pay (pre-authorized absence without pay), up to a maximum of fifteen (15) calendar days for any one period. Longer pre-authorized absences without pay are considered leaves of absence without pay.
