Goals and Objectives of the Project Project Goals. The goals of the project are to: • Develop the Nevados structure for reliability, usability, and cost; • Develop a Nevados-specific row controllers (RCs) and ready it for production; • Develop a Nevados-specific block controller (BC) and ready it for production; • Develop a low-cost Nevados-specific string-line CS and ready it for production; • Develop the Nevados software to integrate with each release of the Nevados controls and structural components; • Reduce the cost of the Nevados ATT system; • Develop the business case for the Nevados ATT and solicit feedback from industry experts.
Goals and Objectives of the Project Project Goals. The goal of the project is to double the energy efficiency of a datacenter as measured by the amount of energy to do a specific amount of work. Ratepayer Benefits:2 The project will result in the ratepayer benefit of lower cost by increased energy efficiency. To quantify the total energy savings, the total energy consumption in California in 2015 was 196,194 GWh. Approximately, two percent of this number (the amount datacenter currently use) is 3,920 GWh, which is a conservative estimate of the energy used by datacenters. If the energy efficiency of a datacenter is doubled, then the overall energy savings would be about 1,960 GWh. For a natural-gas generation plant running at a 50% capacity factor, this works out to be about 440 MW, which is an average-sized power plant in California. In addition, avoiding the use of natural gas for power generation will result in greenhouse gas emission and other air emission reductions.

In consideration for the Credit, Xxxxxxxx agrees to hire full-time employees and invest in construction of an expanded facility and manufacturing equipment as part of its expansion in Rancho Xxxxxxx and El Dorado Hills, California (collectively, the “Project”). Further, Taxpayer agrees to satisfy the milestones as described in Exhibit A (“Milestones”) and must maintain Milestones for a minimum of three (3) taxable years thereafter. In the event Taxpayer employs more than the number of full-time employees, determined on an annual full-time equivalent basis, than required in Exhibit A, for purposes of satisfying the “Minimum Annual Salary of California Full-time Employees Hired” and the “Cumulative Average Annual Salary of California Full-time Employees Hired,” Taxpayer may use the salaries of any of the full-time employees hired within the required time period. For purposes of calculating the “Minimum Annual Salary of California Full-time Employees Hired” and the “Cumulative Average Annual Salary of California Full-time Employees Hired,” the salary of any full-time employee that is not employed by Taxpayer for the entire taxable year shall be annualized. In addition, the salary of any full-time employee hired to fill a vacated position in which a full-time employee was employed during Taxpayer’s Base Year shall be disregarded.
